Cake making- First attempt

My mom came home today with a huge sheet cake and decided she was going to try to transform it into a purse. She was testing it out because she wants a purse cake for a meeting she has next week. It didn't come out too bad but it is a little loppy and could use more work. However, as a first attempt at ever making a professional model cake.

Here's the end result.

To diary or not to diary

Dear Diary,

I don't think I've ever written in a diary. I might have tried when I was little but it never went anywhere. So why start now you ask? Just because. I was sitting here thinking of what to write about because I felt like writing and that's how it came out. So here it goes:

Life is finally getting back to normal. Although my dad is still sick and my sister's leg is still broken.... OK maybe not "normal" but better than it was. Orientation has started for my sis and she seemed to perk up. I think she was getting a little bit of cabin fever so human interaction was nice. Also my dad is getting up and doing more. He's actually getting out of the house now. It may not be for long, because he poops out fast, but still there is more family outings and less stress on my mom and I.

I'm still mowing the lawn and this last time it was ridiculous because it had gone undone for a couple weeks, but lets face it I wasn't going out in 100+ degrees heat to mow the lawn. My mom helped this time, she mowed the front while I mowed the back. I'm really hoping for a new lawn mower. We've had the same one for 20 years and its being held together by duck tape. Now I'm not saying duck tape isn't useful and helpful at times but somethings should be put out of their misery and not held together by stick tape that gets sticky goop all over your hands. I WANT A NEW LAWN MOWER!!! There that's all I needed to get out. I'm done now.
I feel I need to sign off in some way so in honor of Star Wars which I'm watching right now.....
May the force be with you.

Unicorn After Wisdom Teeth

I'm sure I probably looked and sounded the same after my wisdom teeth were removed. I know I was told I had conversations with some of the nurses that I don't remember at all. I'm just glad no one got it on video. Poor girl....but soooo funny!
I found out that she got to go on Ellen Degeneres show and tell the story. Plus Ellen gave her and her sister free flip video cameras, so I say it was worth the humiliation.
